Will the Icons be in the FC 25 Career Mode?

The beta testing phase for EA FC 25 Career Mode is underway. The lack of leaks regarding the Career Mode has been surprising until now. A new leak suggests that Icons could be integrated into the Career Mode – at least in the Player Career. This opens up new possibilities.

Several FC 25 experts on X are reporting this independently, such as FGZ here: “Icons will be available in Career Mode. You can play them in Player Career.” FUT Camp on X first reported this. While such reports should be taken with caution, it’s not far-fetched, as this was possible in earlier FIFA versions.

Icons Planned for Player Career

However, the community immediately asks: Why only in Player Career? EA has favored this mode with innovations over the past two years, while little changed in Club Career. Nevertheless, this opens up great possibilities for new career stories.

If you start a Player Career with legends from Buffon to Franck Ribery or Birgit Prinz, then immediately retire, you can play as the legend in manager mode. David Beckham or Zlatan Ibrahimovic as coaches – a universe of new career ideas!

PC users can also use the icons and legends in club mode!

At least for PC users, there is the possibility to incorporate the icons into the regular career mode – because they are already built into the game. And with a few simple tricks, you can easily integrate these icon players into career mode. Unfortunately, this is only possible on PC, not on consoles. You can find out how to do this in this video.

More Good News

The partnership between EA and sports journalist Fabrizio Romano, whose iconic phrase “Here we go” will appear when selecting Career Mode in the game, could indicate more changes. After all, this costs EA money – would they do this if only cosmetic changes were made to Career Mode?

The fact that many leaks about FUT have emerged, but nothing yet about Career Mode, could also indicate a bigger change. Beta testers must maintain silence until Wednesday, and EA is expected to release the first big FC 25 trailer on Tuesday. Then we’ll hopefully know more – including, finally, about Career Mode.

There are also small updates – such as Jude Bellingham being on the cover of FC 25.
