The new FC 25 career mode is now playable for everyone worldwide. As there have been some changes to the system, menus and operation, I’ve teamed up with Sven Kura from Karrierehilfe to give you eight tips for your first career
Complete run-in sequences
The run-in sequences are once again fully available on Next-Gen. There are a few things to bear in mind.
Press the button at the start of the game: When you start a match, you will see the short sequences as in FC24, but there you have the option of pressing a button at the bottom right to see the full sequences (square on PlayStation & X button on Xbox). If you do this, the complete run-in sequences will be shown after the short sequences.
In the settings in the main menu under ‘Game’, you can set the ‘Watch full game intro’ option to ‘Always’. Then you will no longer be asked whether the sequences should be shown before the game starts, but they will always be shown automatically.
IMPORTANT: There are no full match intro sequences for the preparation tournament. ONLY FROM LEAGUE START!
Simplified menu control in the table / UEFA competition league system
In the table, you can now use the right stick (R3) to scroll through the tables that are important for your own team without having to open the pop-up menu with the triangle / Y button. The league system has also been integrated into FC25. All UEFA competitions have already received the new system.
3. 🚨🚨 Do it before the caeer
There are a few things to consider before every game!
Firstly, like in FC24, we have the team management in the middle again, which is called up using the triangle button / Y button. Below the bar are the buttons that you can press. Here you have the square button / X button that you can press. This allows you to quickly change your tactical system. From individual to standard to Tiki-Taka or Kick & Rush, you can set everything here without going into the team management and wasting unnecessary time there.
“Customize” takes you to the next menu, where you can adjust a few things for the game itself. In addition to the jerseys, the side selection and the game settings, you can also activate the goal news. For the goal news, you simply have to press the triangle/Y key and can then select the games, provided that any are available on that day.
4. 🚨🚨 Transfer settings
Stop the transfer window in the summer, set an embargo or just transfers or loans? These settings can be made in FC25. But what does this mean? First of all: If you choose a setting here other than “active”, everything related to transfers will only start from the point at which you want to start with the transfers.
The setting options explained in brief:
– active: Transfers are activated from the start of the career.
– deactivated: Transfers are deactivated for the entire career and cannot be reactivated.
– Deactivate first period: No transfers are possible until the second transfer window. Preliminary contracts cannot be concluded either.
– Transfers only: Only transfers can be made. Loans are not possible.
– Loans only: Only loans can be concluded. Fixed transfers are not possible.
– Transfer embargo: Your team is not allowed to make any transfers until the period you specified has expired (1 to 14 seasons).

5. 🚨🚨 Scouting
In addition to the normal settings, you now have a deeper setting option in the game. First, choose a scout and select the appropriate country where the scout should be sent. Once you have set this, you have the option of the player positions that should be searched for.
Four different positions can be selected which the scout should specifically scout. Look specifically for positions that can help you perfectly in your game system. Once you have decided on the positions, the next picture continues with the player roles.
Choose a total of three key roles from the different positions that the scout should definitely pay attention to. However, this is not mandatory. If you do not select these, the scout will automatically search for everything, but with a lower chance of success. Once you have done that, you can send the scout on his way.

6. 🚨🚨 Quick settings
In the quick settings when you start your career, you have other setting options in addition to transfers. Firstly, you can switch scouting on and off; the training plans can also be adjusted to your wishes, as well as the board expectations.
Training plans: Here you can choose between:
– On: You have to take full care of your training plans and ensure in the game that your agility and fitness are always optimal
Fixed rate: The recovery of fitness and agility is automatically regenerated on days when there is no game.
Always full: Agility and fitness are always at 100%.
Make sure that you optimize the training plans in the game; otherwise, after a few games, you will end up with a team that can’t run at all. 😉
7. Board/dismissals on and off
The board’s expectations have always been something that people could get upset about and sometimes just wonder about. Fortunately, in FC25 you can set these:
Strict: You can’t afford to make too many mistakes; many goals have to be achieved.
Very difficult: To keep your job, all goals have to be met; to keep the board happy.
No dismissals: Everything can be ignored; the job is safe because no dismissals can take place.
Generous: Unfulfilled goals are “partially” accepted (however, MORE goals have to be fulfilled than were MISSED).
7. 👀 Move players
In FC25 it is no longer possible to move players using a square / X as before. The new tactics mean that you have to set up the players for your system based on three important points:
Formation: The right formation is the first step to a successful tactic. Don’t just keep an eye on one formation; feel free to try out other formations to achieve the desired success.
Professional roles: Each player has their own professional roles that they take on on the field. It is best to pay attention to the “+” or “++” behind the roles; this is an indicator of what the player can do best. Build your team accordingly in the formation.
Focus points: Each player has a selectable focus point; this decides how and where they will stand and act on the field.
All three points are the key to successful tactics and thus to successful play against the opponent.
8. 👀👀 Save games from EA Play
For many, the 10-hour version from EA Play is the first indicator of whether to buy the game or not. However, the time you have invested in the game is not lost as soon as you buy the full version.
If you get the 10-hour version via EA Play and then buy the full version, you can transfer your save games from the 10-hour version and continue to use them. Save games are external data that are saved on your hard drives and can therefore continue to be used after you receive the full version. So you don’t lose any playing time and can continue where you left off at the end of the trial version.
