Finally, there are also the first leaks and news about FC 25 Career Mode. And they give hope: Scouting in the youth academy is being completely overhauled. In addition, the new RUSH mode can also be played in club career mode. Plus: New cover and new gameplay options.
But let’s start from the beginning. A good – and in the past proven reliable source – is the X account FUT Camp, which already leaked the first screenshots from Career Mode on Monday. There, we first learned about the new cover. It shows legends like Gianluigi Buffon or David Beckham in an almost royal ambiance on a photorealistic image. As we know, they will be coming into the game as Icons, also in player career mode.
There you can see the Icons standing and sitting with the trophies they have won in a kind of library with trophy cabinets. This illustrates how important these Icons, i.e. legendary players from the past, will be in FC 25.
Some had already hoped for a trophy room in Career Mode – but this doesn’t seem to be the case.

The youth academy is being completely rebuilt
But there is important news that is being leaked by FUT Camp and others, and a forum on Reddit is also very informative here: EA Sports FC 25 promises a comprehensive overhaul of the youth academy system in Career Mode, which has long been desired by many fans. One of the most significant innovations is the integration of RUSH mode into the youth academy. This allows managers to develop and test their talents in intense 4-vs-4 matches.
Both the current overall potential (OVR) and the future potential of young players can be evaluated. Scouting opportunities are significantly expanded. Players can now search for talents in a larger selection of countries, which particularly facilitates the discovery of “gems” from previously underrepresented regions.
In addition, the scouting process itself is designed in more detail, with a greater variety of positions and player roles that can be identified. Another improvement concerns the visual appearance of youth players. In previous versions, it was often criticized that young players looked unrealistically old. EA Sports has addressed this problem, so that youth players in FC 25 now actually appear youthful, which increases the immersion of the game.

The new game mode RUSH can also be played in Career Mode
The completely new game mode “RUSH” will be – and this is important to emphasize – seamlessly integrated into all existing game modes. Including Career Mode! What’s behind it? RUSH offers a fast, intense 4-vs-4 experience that combines elements from Ultimate Team, Pro Clubs, and Volta. In Ultimate Team, players can select a player from their squad and team up with three friends or random teammates.
RUSH in Ultimate Team offers various entry requirements and allows players to earn a new game currency for exclusive rewards. Additionally, players can work on objectives and evolutions during RUSH matches, adding extra strategic depth to the mode. BUT: The RUSH mode is not limited to Ultimate Team, but is also available in Pro Clubs, Career Mode, and Kick-off.
In Pro Clubs, for example, players could use their individually created players in fast 4-vs-4 matches, while in Career Mode, RUSH could serve as a training method or as an opportunity for talent development. The integration of RUSH into all game modes of EA Sports FC 25 promises to bring fresh air to the gameplay and offer players new, exciting opportunities to test and improve their skills.
With its combination of fast gameplay, strategic depth, and rewards, RUSH could become a popular feature that enriches the gaming experience in EA Sports FC 25.

Reveal trailer to be released on Wednesday at 6 PM
It’s now also officially confirmed through EA’s link: On Wednesday, July 17 at 6 PM, the official announcement trailer for FC 25 will be released – on this YouTube channel of EA Sports FC 25
And another leak: Are social media posts coming to Career Mode?
Admittedly, this is still rather speculative. But there’s a screenshot on X showing social media posts from Fabrizio Romano about possible transfer rumors. The sports journalist could thus announce potential transfers with his “Here we go”. There’s also a screenshot – but without any guarantee.
